Displaying Math Symbols

I am attempting to use StarMath formulas within a text document. The vast majority of symbols display as rectangles. How do I configure StarOffice to display a symbol correctly? What software components am I missing?

As an example, I want to use the del operator (a triangle whose base is at the top)., called "nabla" by StarMath. When I select the del image within StarMath's input pallette, StarMath inserts the word "nabla" in the formulas editor. However the text itself displays a vertical rectangle.

Thanks

Well I solved it after a few hours of poking around the internet and help from StarOffice technical support.

Turns out that the standard setup for fonts in StarOffice Math Formulas are

Variables Thorndale, italic

FunctionsThorndale

Numbers Thorndale

TextThorndale

Serif Thorndale

Sans Albany

Fixed Cumberland

None of these fonts were registered on my Windows PC. Once they were registered (by opening the .ttf file) the math symbols displayed properly.

Oh, by the way this is a developer's forum, not a user's.Don't even know where a user forum is. Anyways, this may be of interest/
