Solaris 10 U03 X86 on V40z won't boot after installation is done

Ok, so I'm at my wit's end.

I've built many Sun V40z's with Solaris 10, however on the latest one we're using the S10 X86 11/06 (u03) release. The box is plain and simple. Downloaded the CD ISO's off sun.com. Everything install-wise goes fine and dandy. Machine even boots after the last install disk, GUI comes up, everything is happy.

Once I do a reboot (init 6) after all the installation work is done, the machine no longer boots the regular kernel. I get as far as the kernel banner which very very quickly goes away because the machine is rebooting: Endless reboots. I've rebuilt this box three times already. Even skipped on patching it this last round.

What the heck can I do? This is rediculous! All the other V40z boxes were built using an older release of Solaris 10, however we need to have ZFS support on this box, so I don't want to install the '05 release. Can ZFS support be "patched" onto an older release?

Any ideas will be immensly, incredibly and totally appreciated.

Thanks,

AL

I'm having the EXACT same problem and have found little to help...I too would like to use ZFS for a larger disk pool, but at this point I am thinking about loading Redhat instead.
