USB Corsair does not show up, yet connected.
Hello,
my usb stick does connect. I can see that with cfgadm -v -l and also when I try to configure cfgadm -c configure usb1/4.1 (as an example). It tells me that there is no need to configure.
Also I can look in /var/adm/messages.
But! Where and how can I look in the Corsair?
Anyone with a good suggestion?

I feel your pain, but cannot remember where it is hidden. I use sunrays and nearly every usb key I have used just pops up under tmp/SUNWut/ etc... I am sure your key is popping up in such a simple place as well. However I have forgotten where. Search the forums and you will find the answer. It is a very simple process to get access. I have also found if you are unable to read the key reformating it under windows to be fat32 or fat16 will fix your woes. Often they come with a funky fat12 or some worthless thing preinstalled.

Hello Kjard_us,
thanks for answering me.
I found a lot on the web. That lot I found did not work. The nearest was the following:
1. cfgadmin
2. put your usb stick in
3. cfgadmin and observer where is the difference (in my case today:
/us1/5.1 usb-strorage connected configured ok
4. mkdir /rmdisk (BUT I already have)
5. pkill -HUP vold (my pkill has no attributes HUP)
6. ls /rmdisk/rmdisk0 (for him it seems to work, for me NOTHING!)
So, people claim a lot of success ...
I managed with the FAT. I had to install several times Solaris 10. But now I know.
If you know something more, please let me know. I observe that I am connected, but I can not do anything with it.

Step by step the turtle goes...
I did iostat -En and I saw the following:
c0t0d0Soft Errors: 1 Hard Errors: 0 Transport Errors: 0
Vendor: MATSHITA Product: DVD-RAM UJ-85JS Revision: F100 Serial No:
Size: 0.00GB <0 bytes>
Media Error: 0 Device Not Ready: 0 No Device: 0 Recoverable: 0

c6t0d0Soft Errors: 0 Hard Errors: 0 Transport Errors: 0
Vendor: Corsair Product: Flash VoyagerRevision: 1.00 Serial No:
Size: 4.10GB <4102029312 bytes>
Media Error: 0 Device Not Ready: 0 No Device: 0 Recoverable: 0
Illegal Request: 0 Predictive Failure Analysis: 0
So, it recognizes that the Corsair exists. It is at c6t0d0.
If someone can give me some help about this?

Here is a way to do it but I do not think it is a permanent solution. It would be best to figure out where VOLD is mounting it automagically. My suns are locked in a climate controlled room in another building so I am not about to go jabbing usb keys into them. However there must be some documentation somewhere about it.
here is a quick way to do it by hand.
mount -F pcfs /dev/dsk/c5t0d0s2:c/somefolder
where c5t0d0s2 would be replaced with your drives location c6t0d0s2 according to your printouts but that may change.

Hello kjard_us,
I solved the problem. You won't believe this.
I read and read documentation. I tried everything without succes. On the web are a lot of people who just put there everyting.
Then yesterday evening I did not have any hope anymore. I went to bed.
At once, I thought: suppose the usb stick does connect?
But I do not see anything happening on my screen!
I see only these icons of Jave Enterprise etc.
Suppose it is behind them.
So, I moved the icons. And there they came: the solaris cd-rom and my usb-stick
Is this a bug? No, it is something to keep your from the street. (:-))

wow, I am surprised. so a icon leading to the drive appeared on your desktop? What solaris version are you using? I have never been so lucky.
