Problem with SOLARIS 10 installation discs
Hi!
Guys, I downloaded the 5 discs for solaris 10, started a new installation on my UNIX sun server... but now i'm stuck trying to install disc 4. I'm having the following error:
The disc you inserted is not the correct CD/DVD for Solaris 10
Software 4 for SPARC Platforms. Please try again
* I downloaded the disc from SUN using the SUN(TM)Download Manager twice -_-
* i'm currently downloading it again but using Firefox Download manager
* I'm using nero 7 to burn the discs
Any clue? pls Help me!
Thanks in advance

Thanks for aswer my post rukbat!
Sorry to not mention my hardware. My hardware is a "Sun Enterprise[tm] 220R Server"
Im glad to tell u that i found the problem and now my server is running Solaris 10!
I just switched the default burning speed in Nero from 40x to 32x and that solved the problem!!! Well, i wasted 3 cds after trying this -_-
Hope my experience help others!
Now my server says: hostname unknown, im gonna try to solve this. Or should i reinstall the software? maybe i did something wrong :/
Thanks again rukbat!

Burn speed is often the answer, regardless whether it's Solsris or anything else.
Your new question is not a critical issue.
It's been discussed many many times in these forums,
as well as there are a lot of generic discussions elsewhere on the internet.
A Google search will be filled with search results. (keyword: hostname unknown)
With a DHCP setup, there are ways to configure a hostname that survives a reboot.
