Sol 10/Sparc disk not found

I am trying to install Solaris 10 on various Ultra II based systems (Ultra 60, AXi etc) which have been running FreeBSD.

Solaris 10 reports "No Disks Found"!

Solaris 9 can be installed, after which Sol10 can see them, however this is inconvenient for those people who don't have Solaris 9 disks :-}

More to the point, the algorithm for determining if a disk is present is obviously defective, (probe-scsi from obp has no problem finding them) and there should be an opportunity to TELL the system where the disks are if it can't find them.

I have tried both the ga and the 1106 release.

Usually there is a message during boot that indicates that there is a problem with disk label before the install gui is loaded.You can use option 6 of install CD/DVD to boot to CLI and use the format command to label the disk.
