Solaris strange problem

Hi.

I dont really understand what is a problem, but when I try to use "whatis" or any other sort of help commands in terminal, I receive following error:

/usr/dt/man/windex: No such file or directory

/usr/dt/man: No such file or directory

/usr/openwin/share/man/windex: No such file or directory

I assume that something went wrong during installation and I didnt install help files. Am I correct or is it something else?

Thank you for you posts.

nothing wrong - you just need to create the indexes for the man pagesrun catman -w and then retry - all should be fine.Sean

Sean,Thanks for the tip. I have been wondering about this for a while. It might make sense for the Solaris Developers to implement this as part of the installation. Why would one not want to do it?Thanks,Dave
