deploying in an remote machine

Hi, after creating the ear in my local machine, can i make it to be deployed in a remote machine. i am creating the EAR file in windows machine and i should deploy it in a unix machine. also could anyone suggest me some material which gives information about writing build.xml file and steps for deployment. thanks and regards, Vinnu.
