Hardware discount - for dev and testing (compared to HP and IBM)

I was wanting to know if Sun had a programme where you get discount on the hardware because your testing/developing against it and not using it as a production system.

HP have a programme where you get 42% off

IBM have a programme where you get 60% off

other hardware vendors have also had similar programmes but I can't seem to find anything that Sun does. Does anyone know if Sun do a similar programme and can provide a link?

Hello Jason,

Sun has a similar program for software developers. Prequisite is that the application is sold and not only for your personal use. That means your application has to generate (hardware) sales and service contracts for Sun.

Another choice is to test-drive certain systems (T2000, Ultra 20).
