JRE 1.3.1 & DST?
Finally, the only solution for older version of JRE 1.3.1, is to upgrade to 1.3.1_19 ? No tzupdater available for this version?
I'm asking that, since an upgrade is requiring a UAT (User Accepting Tests) for all concerned application (some major), instead of nothing required for a tzupdater updated version.
Thanks.

I don't think so.

Well if you are going to do UAT's then you might as well move up to Java 6.

And what about a workstation that have more than one version of Java installed, where one is 1.3.1_01, and it is not is java.exe in c:\windows\system32? HOW we should proceed to upgrade the 1.3.1 WITHOUT AFFECTING all others installation (and making sur the application using this version will uses the updated version)?
For the moment, I assume that we should install it over the old version?

Java is backwards compatible. So a newer version of the JRE will still run the code compiled in 1.3.1. (There is chance that there could be an issue if the program was written on a bug that was fixed in a newer version, etc.)

I have a strange problem too. I upgraded many workstations to JRE to v1.3.1_19 using silent install for DST compliant, the Microsoft Internet Explorer is not checked in Java Plug-in Control Panel. I am now experience a program unable to run. Can someone kindly assist?
