Java 1.6 crashes my IE7 on Vista.

Hello,

First off, if this is posted in the wrong forum I apologize.

I'm having trouble with Java 1.6 and IE7. When I install Java and want to verify the installation my IE7 crashes giving me the option to either restart IE7 or look for the problem online and restart IE7.

I'm running Vista Business and IE7. This also happens on other pages where they use Java.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry for making another bump, but I really would like to know what is going on here.I've read several places on the web about people having problems with Java and IE7 in Vista.I have Java working in Opera so it' not my Java install which is messed up.Thanks

Ok, I'll bump this again. I have the same problem. I get a message about too many virtual machines running. None are running though.

I have problems with Java 1.6 in IE7 with Win XP,SP2. It doesn't happen with firefox. Java 1.5 worked fine before. I'll see if I can go back to the older version.

Do you have Windows Live toolbar or MSN toolbar installed? If So please remove them. If this is not the case and/or this does not resolve your problem, Please go into the event viewer in the Microsoft Management Console and post the Event ID from the application that crashed and all other relevent information.
