J2SE Environment 5.0

I have versioon 1.5.0 my system shows its rarely used..however..I was on a site in which I clicked on a link and recieved a pop-up that informed me at the bottome of my explorer 7.0 window it was a javascript.popup conf and therefore was blocked even though it was allowed in my pop-up blocker..can you tell me how to fix this problem..secondary windows are being blocked as popups-is this due to the version of Java or something else?
