Adding and updating Community Categories

Does anyone know how to add, update, remove Community Categories? I've looked everywhere for documentation on how to do this. The Community Sample Guide is vague, and that's being kind. Any help would be appreciated.

The categories are provided by the search server which is also used in the portal search provider.
You should be able to find the information in the search section or portal admin guide.
You can edit the categories in psconsole/search servers/.
After select the search instance , go to Categories tab.
