How to create a new desktop

After reading the doc. from SUN, but still dont know how to create a new desktop to the portal, does anyone can give any hint to me about that, thx

is PS 7, the "desktop" is the servlet that initiates rendering the response to the user, among other things. so i don't think you mean desktop.

do you mean, for example, that you want to create something analogous to the developer, enterprise, or community samples, but customized for your own needs?

if so, the easiest way to start w/ one of the samples and customize it to your needs. if nothing else, this will be illustrative for you to understand how to build something similar from scratch. take a look here to get started:

Thx for your help. Actually, i am now already added a new desktop to the portal, but now I am facing another problem. After added a desktop and assign the role to anonymouse user, but when i type the url point to the new desktop, it cannot be shown, is it have any problem about the new desktop

the desktop for authless use can be configured as done for the organization from the psconsole. TO do this Click on Add users and search for authlessanonymous in your organization. After this fill in the mainPage etc details for this user...

Some questions :

1. why do you want to add anonymous user to a role ?

1. What role are you adding to the anonymous user ?

2. Have you set Parent Container/Destkop type to that role. If not you have to do it thru the psconsole.

click "add DNs" and search for "Role" and then change the Parent Container/Desktop Type for that role.
