Installing Java 5 R10 through Patchlink (Noob Question)

I am using Patchlink to roll out Java version 5 R10 to our organization. The installation goes fine however there are two problems that are occuring now due to restrictions in our environment. The first is that our users are power users and 2) The client is trying to check for updates. Since our users are power users they cannot install an upgrade when detected so I need to disable the option of trying to search for updates when they occur. In Patchlink there is an option where you can add a custom switch. Does anyone know the switch or command that will tell the client not to look for updates the next time I roll out the next version?
