Whats the best book for java for newbies?

Hi, I brought Java Concepts by Cay Hortsman it ok, my lecturer suggested it. Is this book ok to learn and grasp java. I know i should also use the java online tutorial and the API documentation, but is there anything else you suggest. Thanks Kas
