program removal

How do I and should I remove past Java updates? These past updates take up 145MB of disk space. Can I remove these previous updates? Should I remove these previous updates?

By past updates I assume you mean older releases?

If so, then that depends. Is this your private PC? If so, then the only questions to ask are:

1. Do I want to use them anymore?

2. Do I have any personal software that requires one of these older releases specifically?

If it's not your personal PC, than there are other more pressing questions:

1. Is the PC the property of the company you work for?

2. If so, does the company approve of your adding and/or removing JDKs and JREs?

3. Does the company have software that requires one or more of the older releases?

If none of this applies to you, or if your were only asking how to do it technically, then yes you can do it and it is easy to do. If you have a Windows machine, then the add / remove pgms utility will handle it.

Lastly, if you were not asking about older releases at all, then what did you mean?
