(moved to appropriate forum) amadmin - access denied

Dear Community,

I have been asked to setup IDM AM on AS9 which is going really well. Until..... I can no longer login to amserver as amadmin.

I have trawled the forum trying to find an answer as to how this account could be disabled. Some posts indicated that the full Distinguished Name would work... it doesn't for me. An internet search turned up setting the login module to LDAP because the admin account is stored there.... so either 8080/amserver/UI/Login?module=LDAP&gx_charset=UTF-8 (LDAP) or 8080/amserver/UI/Login?gx_charset=UTF-8 (Data Store Authentication) can no longer login.

Can someone outline how it would be possible to disable this account or indicate to me the order of logs to enable and review to sort this out?

Would it be possible to use IDM to recover this account and take over administration?

Kind regards and thanks,

Chris Mac

Hm. "Moved to appropriate forum"? Sorry, we're all about Messaging Server, here, not about Access Manager. . . .yes, Messaging uses AM, but I honetly have no clue why you can't log in. What do you see in the logs? Both web server and ldap logs when you try?
