Help understanding corp_dir in CE
I'm hoping that someone could help me understand the difference between the setting of login _type to restricted vs proxy in <UWC_HOME>/WEB-INF/config/corp_dir/db_config.properties, or tell me I'm in completely the wrong place to accomplish my goal.
What I'd love to accomplish is to have users able to retrieve different entries and attributes from the addressbook based on which user they are after logging into Comm Express.So active employees could see employees and students could see students etc.
This is obviously trivial to write ACL's in the ldap for, but I'm not sure how to get CE to use the logged in users access level in the address boot. I thought login_type=proxy might be the trick, but I don't see that CE is doing anything to proxy as the logged in user to search the directory, so obviously I have some fundamental misunderstanding of how login_type works.
