Not I ... try again, it seemed to log me off prematurely and so perhaps that is meaningful.

For me it's OK, but is very slow compared to the performance of the other pages here.Mike

Another funny thing is that if you log-out, close the tab, re-open forum.java.sun.com in a new tab, you can simply press login to login again. No username or password needed. =)

Did you get the new log-in page? I recently downloaded a couple JDKs and it forced me to update my SDN account and add some new into. Since then I have been directed to a new one-signin-for-all-SDN account sigh-in page. If you are not, then that is probably why.~Bill

That's not a solution. It's a workaround.

You won't find it too handy when someone gets hold of your account after you leave and use it to defame you(Though there is nothing much he can do)

You mean deleting cookies with your nappies on and your other finger in your mouth.Must have been difficult to do it with just one hand, right? :D

Seriously jverd you know better than this - how can we help you if you don't bother to post the error message ? ;-)

Ps. Nice to see that: "even those with high user-status have doubts that they ask questions for" ;-)

PPs. No I haven't seen any issues logging in or out - but I don't ever log out, it times out on me.

I just hope that Sun changes the forum software so that they won't time us out. It's such a pain in the @ss to login again. But with the no of users coming here they would have no other option other than to time out the users who are idling(Sometimes i feel that Suns server is pathetic. The servers so slow to respond at times.

I know. I didn't think to start this thread until after I'd already logged in and the message was gone, and I didn't feel like going back and re-creating it. I just wanted to find out if others are seeing this, have reported it, etc.

Nah.What i meant was that he can't do much with any Sun account to defame anyone.

I can see some action coming this way(->time to run)

It was meant as a smart alec remark jverd. I thought as much when I saw the post. I just wanted the chance to put in a snarky comment that those who have been around might appreciate. I find it funny how there are so many people who pop in and try and dictate the way the forum should run after having been here for only a short period of time.

Ps - where's the dukes ? ;-P

I know. But I did feel rather stupid posting, "I get an error message, but I don't know what it is," after all the admonishing of newbies I do for the same thing. :-)

Why?Aren't you a gold. The gold star looks more appealing to me than the platinum.Platinum star looks very similar to silver(quest suffering from color blindness).

Clearly the problem lies with Sun then ...

(Hey putting clearly always works when at the beginning of any math proof, so I figured it should work just as well with any tech problem. ;-P )
