is you windows Graphic Drivers installed. check that out. make sure the are set to general default

any way i found the handbook and its components. if the box is under warranty you can ring sun and ask it to be replace or tell them to send specific link to download the drivers.

What Os are you running with version please
what kind of Desktop are you using (ex-gnome,CDE,open window)
what is the resolution you setup.
do you know how to check the resolution. if you can then could you please see it could be some setting issue.
check the packages. ( this could happen if you loose the x packages.
what application are you running.
is it happening when you start the system.
or when you running an application
the answers will help me to rectify the problem in hardware level or software level or application level

well it cleary stated it only supported till window2003 with nooooooooooo service pack!
but they stop making that card. so no point of looking
