Using OTA to directly modify SIM data

Hi there

I'm new to this whole Java/Sim programming, and as such, here is a newbie question:

Is there a way todirectly modify (create/change/remove) data stored on the sim card using the OTA interface ?

I'm referring to basic data, such as the phonebook, etc...

I know that it is possible for the end-user to activate a pre-downloaded applet that does this sort of things, but I wondered if it is possible to do this without the end-user have to intervene

Hi,

Even I do not have too much of an Idea about OTA...

From your requirement I understand that u need to update a FILE like ADN/Phonebook through OTA,

There are 2 operations which can be done through OTA

1. File Management through OTA

2. Applet Management through OTA.

To meet ur requirement u should build proper 3.40 and 3.48 header with respect to your APDU and the send the SMS to the SIM.

Hope this will help.
