Apache 2.2 compatible

Is there any time scale on a new release of the Sun One ASP product that works with Apache 2.2.I had heard it was last November, but have not heard anything since.

Unfortunately to this date we have no final timeframe for the next ASP Server release.

Okay, so SUN ONE ASP may or may not be further developed.

Apache 2.2 does not work with the current version of sun one asp, 4.0.2.

Maybe this request would be a little more reasonable:

Can you please figure out a way to get SUN ONE ASP 4.0.2 to work with APACHE 2.2?

While SUN ONE ASP 4.0.2 does not officially support apache 2.2, I know that there must be a way to get them to work. Currently, when I have apache 2.2 installed, sun one asp does not recognize any webservers installed at all. Is there a way to bypass the webserver searching step of the install process so that we can install sun one asp with apache 2.2 installed and then manually modify the httpd.conf file of apache to support SUN ONE ASP.

Please let me know if this is possible. There must be some tweak which would allow for sun one asp to work with APACHE 2.2; i would imagine that APACHE 2.2 is not significantly different from previous 2.x versions of apache and SUN ONE ASP has been shown to work with said previous versions of apache. Your immediate attention on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am sorry, I can't help you with that. I never tried installing 4.0.2 onto apache 2.2. I assume it is possible, but it is quite doubtful that all your asp scripts would be working fine. You might also get frequent crashes with this approach.

apache 2.2 is not significantly different, but different enough to require a separate apache module written for asp server 4.0.x.

You can carry out a complete install of the Sun One ASP product if you have a copy of Apache 2 and Apache 2.2.

Just complete the install against the 2.0 version of Apache then edit the httpd.conf file under 2.2 to include the SUN ONE ASP entries.

Unfortunately it does not work because it complains about mod_casp2.so module being invalid, so bodging the current version is not a way forward, at least not for us, we need a supported route.

If the product is end of life, we will have to look at moving platforms.
