Solaris 10 kernel settings

Seems like kernel settings for things like shmmax are no longer supported as in the past by changes to the /etc/system file. I have seen a few messages about the ability to make the process pretty much the same by "setting in the system file and setting up a global zone". Anyone know the actual steps involved with this - or is there another/better way to do this?

Thanks...Mike
