NOTICE: /: unexpected free inode 1430606, run fsck(1M) -o f

Got this message in /var/adm/messages on a V480 running Sol 8.

I ran a recursive find on this inode and got:

/devices/pci@8,700000/..: I/O error

Within this directory I noticed there is no .. dir.

server1:/devices/pci@8,700000 >> ls -lia

./..: I/O error

How do you reassociate the inode?

I will suggest bringing the system down to single user mode and running "fsck -y /dev/dsk/c?t?d?s?" on the root and other partitions. Or you could boot from cdrom and do the same.Might have to run it a couple of times until no more errors or corrections are made.
