Sun Ray 1

Hi,

I have a Sun Ray 1 purchased second hand. I am currently in the process of installing the server software onto my CentOS linux distro. Just to see what happened if i turned the Sun Ray on without the server yet running, it got to the egg timer screen and never gets past there however long you wait. Is this a problem with the Sun Ray client or just because it cannot yet connect to the server? I had expected it might complain about either not having a network connection (when i tried it without plugging a network cable in) or that it should complain it cant find the server with the cable plugged in. Is my Sun Ray broken?
