Battery Replacement on StorEdge 3510

Hello All,

I am new here so please pardon my ignorance. I have a question about the replacement of the upper battery of the Sun StorEdge 3510 as it has expired.

I would like to know if the StorEdge box has to be shutdown for replacing this battery or if this is something that can be done without shutting down anything at all.

Any help is highly appreciated.

You didn't indicated which firmware/software version is on the 3510 but look at the following link.

There is an FRU Installation guide for both versions that cover battery replacement steps.
