can't copy/paste/drag outside staroffice text doc and notepad

Hi i have an annoying problem, seems i can't copy or paste or drag when i am not in notepad or using my staroffice text documents. As you can gather this is driving me insane as i can't copy urls, or in fact any text when i am usng the internet which make life hard. I have to type everything into notepad, then i can copy it! Any suggestions would be greatly appretiated!

Hi there,

Please provide the following information so that I can test it on a machine here to see if I get the same issues:

OS (Win/Linux/Solaris etc.)

Openoffice / Staroffice

Version number

Is this only in 'writer' that you are having the problem?

Are you able to use CTRL+x to cut?

Are you able to highlight and use Right Click, Cut/copy etc.?

If so what happens when it does not work?
