Recovery documents failed

Happy Newyear to all from the Netherlands!

I received a Powerpointfile as attachment, but threwed it away while StarOffice 8 was trying to open it. I don't like unknown attachments from unknown people...

Now everytime I start SO8, I get this warning that SO8 is trying to recover this PPS-file, but as it is not on my computer anymore, SO8 can't find it!

Tried to repair and re-install SO8, so far without any succes...

Suggestions anyone?

This is just a though, I have NOT tested it, but in theory it should work....

In SO8 create a presentation - put some text in or anything, then SAVE that file as the same file name and extension

EG:

testfile.ppt

Save this to your desktop, then close the application. Reboot and then try opening SO8 and see if you get the recovery message, if so click the 'quit' or ignore option. This SHOULD sort the problem out then just delete the file.

The other thing you MAY need to do is store the testfile.ppt (or whatever you called it) to the same location that SO8 *thinks* the file should be at...

You should just be able to click "cancel" on the recover documents screen.
