Java Plug-in Fatal Error

Hi All,

I am having problems with my Java Program (and I am far from a techie). The error reads:

Java Plug-in Fatal Error

The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded

So here's what I have done. I've removed all Java files via control panel. Reinstalled the lastest version. That didn't work so I uninstalled and went back to my Java folder and deleted any left over stuff. Restarted, reinstalled...

The battle continues...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Fyshe

You are not alone. I just found the same problem tonight. I could not find an answer on Sun's web site. Can anyone help?

I'm having the same problem. No one can seem to help. I've done a bit of research and found it may have to do with Internet Explorer 7. I don't know a lot about the 'inside workings' of a computer. I've tried a lot of different things and nothing helps. Hopefully someone out there can give us the answer!

After looking at other help sites I came across one that said to disable browser add ons that you don't need. I did this and everything seems to be working fine. I also updated to jre 1.6. Try this and let me know if it works for you.

Go to the tools tab on your browser. There should be a section called " manage add-ons" Click and then go to enable/ disable add-ons. disable the add-ons you don't recognise.
