probably not. they are too specific. if you are going for a developer role, you are probably more likely to get questions like:

what advantages do you see in oo design?

are you familiar with the software lifecycle?

alot of the time, people interviewing arnt looking for, or dont know technical skills down to that level. they might be HR people or first level managers or something who dont need to know about that stuff.

of course you should take note of the people on your interview panel and address the questions accordingly. so if you are asked about oo design and dont think that there are really technical people on the panel you would focus more on the efficiency and resuablility, managers love that stuff. if there were techno people interviewing you, you could be more specific and talk more specfically about extending classes and inherritance, perhaps give an example.

You might get such questions when applying for an entry level position where you're interviewed by an HR flunky who gets his questions from a certification mock exam, but otherwise you'll get something more substantial.

Or, if you are applying for a developer position at Google, you might get a question like this:

"You are shrunk to the height of a nickel and your mass is proportionally reduced so as to maintain your original density.

You are then thrown into an empty glass blender.

The blades will start moving in 60 seconds.

What do you do?"

It seems the best way to prepare for a job interview with Google is to get a dog: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/03/technology/03google.htmlBut what if you come from a culture where dogs are considered dirty -- or delicious?
