imslog.pl question
When looking at my logs file via imslog.pl I see the following message delay report:
Message delays (time from enqueue to dequeue):
Channel<2 sec <10 sec <1 min <5 mins <1 hour >1 hourMax
-- - - - - - - -
ims-ms0.0%0.0%0.0%0.0%2.0%98.0% 24.06 hours
process0.0%0.0%0.0%0.2%2.1%97.6% 24.45 hours
tcp_local0.0%0.0%0.0%0.0%0.2%99.8% 24.19 hours
However, when I check the log by hand the delays way under 1 sec. Is this table only reporting what it thinks are delayed messages? If so, what value does it use to determine this? One persons delay is another's respite ;).

Sorry it was so illegible, here is the table cleaned up.
Message delays (time from enqueue to dequeue):
Channel <2sec <10sec <1min <5mins <1hour >1 hourMax
-- - - - - - - -
ims-ms0.00.00.0 0.02.098.024.06 hours
process0.00.00.00.22.197.624.45 hours
tcp_local0.00.00.0 0.00.299.824.19 hours
typical log entry:
22-Jan-2007 22:42:04.72 tcp_intranet ims-msE 9 Pc-user@support.peezazzy.com rfc822;b.smith@mycom.com b.smith@ims-ms-daemon
22-Jan-2007 22:42:04.77 ims-msD 9 Pc-user@support.peezazzy.com rfc822;b.smith@mycom.com bsmith@ims-ms-daemon
Are the imslog.pl results telling me that almost all of the messages took over an hour to dequeue? If so, it doesn't match what I see in the mail_log.current file. I've googled this but didn't see an obvious explanation of imslog.pl output.
Thanks again,
Keith

Hi,The line you supplied doesn't trigger the generation of a message delay entry (it is missing a message ID).I can send you an updated imslog.pl script (please supply an email address). Try this out and see whether the results differ.Regards,Shane.
