IMS 6.2 and shared folder for multiple store servers

version : Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2-3.04 (built Jul 15 2005)

libimta.so 6.2-3.04 (built 01:32:55, Jul 15 2005)

SunOS mailstore-1-1 5.10 Generic_Patch i86pc i386 i86pc

Although I could give some permissions on my folder to others users, whom are not on the same store can't get access on my folder.

I read that that was a limitation but I don't know on which version.

Is it still true with version 6.2-3.04 ?

Is there some patches about that feature ?

Thanks

I don't know of any limitations, BUT the way it works is this:You must "log into" the store where the folder exists, in order to access it. If your main folder is on server A, but you want to access a shared folder on server B, you will have to actually connect to server B to do

Hi,

Sharing folders across servers is a limitation in the current product (2005Q4). The next release (2006Q4 - due in the next few months) has resolved this limitation due to architectural changes (as per beta release notes) : "Messenger Express and Communications Express clients are now able to access shared folders that are located on different back-end message stores."

Regards,

Shane.
