CLASSPATH

I downloaded jdk1.6 and netbeans. I installed both of these, but I don't seem to see a classpath in my environmental, b/c in my other computer classpath just appeared once I installed these programs.

Yes that must be the problem. Try installing Linux instead. Or Windows 95.

If you want a classpath environment variable, even though actually you do not want any such thing, then create one.
