How do I correct this Java Error....

I'm getting 2 different Java Errors while attempting to play on-line games. I can't figure out how to correct them. I have uninstalled and re-installed Java several times. Even installed updates 1-10. For Java 5.0.

The errors in question

Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process.

and

Unable to load run time environment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you using Internet Explorer 7? if so, i have the same problem before. I notice that if more than 1 tab is running Java program (or applets), I will have the same error message. If I open a new browser instead, the error does not exists.
