Installing OpenSolaris without a Mouse

Hey, I have an Ultra 5 that I got without a HD, I put in a 36GB SCSI and forgot the mouse at home (I'm at College now) anyhow I need to install Solaris, and was wondering if that was possible without my mouse.

I tried to boot and got the the select language, but I can't change anything because i can't move the cursor. Is there a way I can enter the info without the mouse?

Thanks.

When you boot, try the command line install. I forgot exactly which option it is. But without a mouse, it will be tough for you to do anything.

It doesn't seem to be an option before it goes into the GUI.I also am unable to do much of anything in OpenFirmware (From macs I can't remember what the sun one is) because of a password set there, which is why I need to get to a command line so I can run the command to reset it.

Your best option is download solaris from sun. Its a free download and includes the text mode interactive install option. But even after install, you'll need a mouse.

Well that's what I'm trying to do, I have OpenSolaris 10 on a CD and it boots, but goes right to a gui instead of giving me an option.

I already have a mouse, I just don't have it here with the machine, it's back at home with my PowerMac Cluster. IS there a keystroke to get the console like in linux? Or can I force X11 to close with the crtl-alt-backspace keys?

Any ideas? I can't get it to do much of anything.

Okay, I'm confused. Solaris and OpenSolaris are two different things. Solaris you get from Sun. OpenSolaris you get from Opensolaris.org or from distributions such as Nexenta or Shillix. The two are different. Which do you have: Solaris or OpenSolaris?

Sorry, I guess i have Solaris.I thought that after Sun made it a free download they had renamed it. Alright, we'll, I'm going to try the boot command that was suggested. Thanks for the help, Going to go try that now.
