Cannot console on NETRA 1125

Just wondering if any of you professionals out there can help me with an issue.

I was given a NETRA 1125 and have been trying to console to it without success, though I know its not the cable as I can successfully console using the same kit to an SF280r.

The box seems to powers up up okay, can even hear the HDD's winding up, though no console!! I was wondering whether it might be specific pins on the serial connectors ? I have tried to find information on the net and have also tried configuring tip without success

Could anyone advise me of where I can possibly be going wrong, just a point in the right direction would be grand.

Cheers

Spence

I haven't used that particular Netra, but I seem to recall that some Netras have the cross-over built in whereas the 280 does not. I would suggest trying it with (and without) the null-modem adapter.

Netra T1125 should have a DB25 serial port (2 actually), if you are connecting using an ethernet cable with a D9 adapter on one end and a D25 adapter on the other end (Sun adapters) you have 2 null modem adapters and they are cancelling each other out. A regular D9f to D25m null modem cable will work fine...
