SSL renegotiation.

I understand that version 6.1SP5 of iPlanet does not support SSL renegotiation.

Does anyone know if this is available in a later release of iPlanet/SJWS

If available this would save us having to have a separate iPlanet instance configured to force a Certificate request from the browser (for use in Authentication, Associate Certificate, UNIPASS Registration), and would provide additional facilities that TAM (Tivoli Access manager) can exploit.

I understand that Apache can do this.

Regards

Jeremy

Can you be more specific on what you want to accomplish?

An SSL session can be renegotitated. This is used, for instance, when a client cert is requested on an existing SSL session in which no client cert was requested during the original handshake. This is handled automatically by the server if necessary.
