Lightning/thunderbird/solaris8 no wcap option

I have downloaded and installed in thunderbird the lightning extension with wcap for solaris8. However when I go to create a new network calander there is no wcap option for the format. I am missing something?

Hi,

Did you download the WCAP enabled build of lightning (this is not the default build available from the mozilla.org lightning web-page):

http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/releases/0.3/con trib/

For Solaris x86 you want : lightning-wcap-0.3.solaris-i686.xpi

For Solaris Sparc you want : lightning-wcap-0.3.solaris-sparc.xpi

Regards,

Shane.

Hi,

Tried installing thunderbird with wcap-lightning under Solaris 10 (Sparc) and ran into the same issue. Although for the briefest second I think I saw the WCAP option but it disappeared.

You may want to log a bugzilla.mozilla.org bug for this problem.

Regards,

Shane.

The short answer is that it is fixed in 0.3.1: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/releases/lightning0.3.1.html
