Sun bade 100 KVM switcher

Hello,

I'm trying to get a KVM switch running with my blade 100, and I'm having little luck. I have belkin switch that does usb and I'm using a dell keyboard and logitech mouse. The system works when I boot it up, however when I switch off of it, it crashes, syncs the disk, and reboots. I have upgraded openboot to what I think is the latest for the blade 100, 4.17.1, and the problem persists. So, does anyone have a solution to this problem by chance? and, am I running that latest openboot for my machine?

Thanks for the help,

Anthony

First make sure to turn off powermanagement on the blade 100 if you're running Solaris since it may give you problems. I'm even wondering if this might cause the system to reboot as it does.

Next to KVM switches you can also consider using the serial console. Its not as fancy but gets the job done nonetheless. Finally; I've had good results with the Aten KVM switches.

Took a look at that and didn't work, thanks anyway. I did find something of a work around, if unplug the keyboard/mouse it before I switch it doesn't crash. That leads me to beleive that my kvm may be doing something interesting...Anyway, thanks for the help -Anthony

Which model Belkin KVM are you using?I have a dozen or so Belkin 2-port USB KVM's on Blade 1500's and 2500's without any problem.
