Internal Terminal Reset (ITE) key sequence

Hi,

Does anyone know what is the key sequence to reset the Internal Terminal Emulator (ITE) for SunOS or Sun Solaris. I know for HPUX it is Ctrl+Shift+Break. I have tried searching the web, but could not find anything related. My system details (output of "uname -a") SunOS ...... 5.8 Generic_117350-28 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100.

Thank you all for the help, in advance.

I'm afraid I don't recognize what the Internal Terminal Emulator is.Are you talking some sort of sequence for resetting the graphical or command line login?

And does resetting just clear up corruption on the emulator, or does it log you out or something?

What problem are you having on the Solaris machine that you would like to solve? Maybe that's a better place to start.

Graphics depend on the server. I don't think there's a key to kill Xsun. Xorg normally responds to <ctl> - <alt> - <backspace> (with a caveat as mentioned in this blog: <http://binarycrusader.blogspot.com/2005/04/need-quick-way-to-kill-x-server. html>

For the console, I also don't think there's any such thing. I think it's rare to truly kill the serial console (although I've seen it done). You'd probably have to log in through another method and try to clear things up.

Thank you Darren, for the link. I went through the Blog article. I tried to find /etc/X11/xorg.conf on my Sun Blade 100 machine, but could not find it. I am not sure if what is mentioned there is applicable to my system. But it is something that I was looking for.

If you have any other info do let me know.

Thanks once again,

BK

SPARC machines generally use Xsun rather than Xorg. All the current SPARC framebuffers are supported there. There's no hotkey sequence to kill it that I'm aware of.-- Darren
