Will DiskSuite work on x86

Hi there , I have a 4 disk SunFire X4100 (x86) and my customer has specified that they want their disks to be in a mirrored configuration ....my understanding was that DiskSuite (or whatever its called now) didnt support x86, is this the case and if so, does anybody know of any options (preferably non cost)

Thanks

Gary

Disksuite, last time i checked called 'logical volume manager' works fine under X86 Solaris, just use it the way you normally use it under SPARC Solaris.

One thing though, some X4100 comes with an internal hardware monitor, which, if used instead of disksuite, could give better performance..

Sorry! My mistake.

I should have written 'RAID', not monitor. Wonder what exactly i was thinking of at that moment.

IIRC the X4100, or at least some of them, have a built in raid controller, which you can use to mirror your disks at a hardware level, rather than use the software mirroring provided by disksuite..
