SunFire V210 blank screen

Hello All,

There is a SunFire V210 installed Solaris 8. This box was not used for a couple of months after it once had been terminated abnormally. When it is booted, it displays nothing but a black screen on monitor. It might be set input-device and output-device to ttya, so it is connected with a serial console. On the Windows HyperTerminal, it doesn't display anything including Solaris SU prompt, OBP prompt, and ALOM prompt also.

While the machine is powering up, I hold down to reset the NVRAM variables to their default settings. It doesn't help me out.

If #. or console is typed on the serial connection, nothing displays on the hyperterminal.

By the way, when Windows HyperTerminal is used, not keyboard/mouse/monitor is connected to the server. The serial cable used to connect this box without problems.

The service required indicator light is off.

Please provide me your suggestions.

Thanks.

When it is connected to the Serial Management Port with cable to Windows HyperTerminal, it doesn't display anything including Solaris SU prompt #, OBP prompt OK, and ALOM prompt.
