We're having a problem with sessions terminating soon after a user removes their card from the Sun Ray. The approximate time is 15 minutes currently, so we have users running to other buildings once they remove their card so they don't lose their session.

This is a classic symptom of a system having an /etc/dt/config/Xstartup script that does not contain the extra commands that SRSS adds to the system's original /usr/dt/config/Xstartup script. If this machine has an /etc/dt/config/Xstartup then that script needs to be resync'ed with the one in /usr/dt/config.
The best way to manage /etc/dt/config/X* scripts (Xsetup, Xstartup, Xreset) is to have the local version source in the system version from /usr/dt/config, and then add whatever local extra things you need. This way if the system scripts get tweaked your local versions automatically pick up those tweaks.
