StorEdge 3310 HDD Support

Hey,

I have 5x73GB HDD's now on my 3310 and i want to add another 7 HDD's of 300GB...

I've read some places and talked to sun Israel and they told me that it might work, while others told me for sure that it will work....

Any of you have tried puting different sizes of HDD's into the storage? of course i will need to create a different raid.

This will work with one major thing to think about. Watch out for what you use with spare disks. Don't make any of the spares global as if you make a 73 GB disk a global spare and a 300 GB dies, you are gonna be in trouble.

I have 3511 with 250 GB disks in the actual array and 400 GB disks in the JBOD. I don't use global spares. You will have to assign the same size disks to the logical drives.
