Dead keys not working: StarOffice 7/Solaris x86

Hi,

I'm trying to write some text in Icelandic with StarOffice, but my dead keys do not work. That is, pressing ' e should yield ? but does 'e. This is different behaviour from the rest of the GNOME apps, where nothing at all happens. It does however work in XEmacs.

Is there something I can change to fix this?

I am using StarOffice 7, Product Uptade 7 on Solaris Express Community Release build 50.
