RAM requirement for solaris 10
I just had an Ultra 5 given to me, and I wanted to install Solaris 10 on it. But now it seems 128 MB of ram isn't enough for the install? With the cost of sun ram, its hardly even worth trying to upgrade it. Does anyone know if there is a way to get it installed? Is there any kind of off the shelf ram compatible with it?

I have it on a few servers with less than 200 MB RAM, and it works really well.
One thing to keep in mind though is that its a quite bad idea to try and run Java Desktop or Gnome when you only have 128 MB of RAM, you should try and download a small/flexible window manager such as fvwm2 instead. Thats what i do on my laptop (which has 192 MB RAM).
.7/M.

What about CDE with 256 MB RAM?
OpenSUSE 10.2 runs GNOME responsively with 256 MB RAM?
I have another issue with the install - it doesn't even start up on my 256 MB system.
I'll try the nowin option and see what it does.
I let it run all night and it didn't start up.
Bad karma when you're replacing a working Linux installation.
