Install Solaris 10 on UltraSPARC IIe with Bad Magic Number error

I recently downloaded Solaris 10 for SPARC and extracted the ISO files copied into 5 CDs. For some reason the SunBlade 150 computer my company bought did not have Solaris pre-intalled. So I need to install Solaris operating system.

When I put the CD1 in and typed boot cdrom, this statement displayed:

ok boot cdrom

Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1/ide@d/cdrom@1,0:f File and args:

Bad magic number in disk label

Can't open disk label package

Can't open boot device

Please help

The solaris install CD's are extremely sensitive to how you create them.

They must be made with a program that knows how to burn ISO images.

And not all programs will work out of the box.

Nero for example has to have special flags set to burn the images correctly.

I think if you look around on the download site, you'll find more info. But I havent looked into it much.

Other people might be able to report what programs worked for them.
