Hi all.
Iam a newbie to Solaris, I would like to practice Solaris OS but i dont have a SPARC server so i have to install on my PC(Intel). How much does it differs from SPARC ? do the commands also vary? and if I would like to buy a old SPARC server which is a good one for solaris 10 and whats the average cost of it in USD?
please forgive me if it sounds very silly..

Essentially no, except where machine/device specifics are involved. For all general purpose use, there is no difference.

You should check Sun's compatibility guidelines.

Suitable machines are available starting at $0 (I recently picked up three E450s and one E250 at no cost, being discarded by their former owner. All of which are superb machines for Solaris 10).
