patchadd fails

I am using patchadd to patch a package that I previously developed and installed.

It works on Solaris 9 but fails on Solaris 10.

Here is the patchadd command and its output on Solaris 10:

# /usr/sbin/patchadd /tmp/mystuff-01

Validating patches...

pkginfo file does not have any patch records /tmp/mystuff-01/mystuff/pkginfoDone!

The following requested patches do not update any packages installed on the system

Packages from patch mystuff-01 are not installed on the system.

Can anyone tell me what the messages output by patchadd mean or where to look for my problem? What changed about adding patches between Solaris 9 and Solaris 10?

Thanks,

fl
