display is extremely slow for 5.2sp4 on solaris9

We are running 5.2sp4 ldap server. Currently we upgraded the OS to solaris 9 from 8. The server is running smoothly, however, we just found out two issues:
1) if we use startconsole command to display the console, it shows up extremely slow.
2) the font in the console is very small, which is hard to read.
Is it a know issue for DS 5.2 on solaris 9?

This does resonate like something we did experiment some time ago while we were testing development versions of DS.
I don't recall but I've asked some engineers in our team. May be someone will remember, whether it was a patch issue or remote display issue.

The developer who was responsible for the Console and Admin Server recalled that it was a missing patch on the system, but could not retrieve which patch exactly. (I think we experimented this issue about 2 years ago).Sorry for not having further details.Ludovic
